The ubiquitous waney panel can be seen thoughout the country. BUT they are not all the same.

The Acorn panel (made in Felpham) is constructed from 5mm thick slats, with a heavy 50mm x 25mm (2"x1") top and bottom batten.

The whole thing is nailed together using triple life galv ring (serrated) nails.

And to top it all , all timber used is pressure treated.

Waney panels are always 6' wide, but come in a variety of heights (6', 5'6'', 5', 4', 3', and 2')

4' panels shown here, with matching gate.

After a few weeks any slight unevenness of the brown colour of the new panels will dissappear.
